What an honor to be asked to feed our Troops. It was a freezing day on December 7, 2013. Our BBQ Brethren group was asked to feed the troops at Camp Parks for their Christmas Party. There were about 275 troops with their families there to celebrate the holiday. We served pulled pork, tri-tip, marinated chicken breast, caesar salad, cole slaw, vegetables, macaroni and cheese, rolls and some beautiful desserts. We had a great group of BBQ Brethren volunteers that worked really hard to make everything a success. Everyone really enjoyed the food and we got lots of compliments. Can't wait until we can do this again. Very proud to be able to serve great BBQ to our troops that serve our country!
We received a fabulous Thank You card from one of the families:
"To the Bart's Blazin' Q Crew - Thank you for the most amazing BBQ we've ever had. We searched all over Kansas for the best, who knew we'd find it in California! I could honestly taste the love you all put in your food from the pulled pork to the salad. You didn't cut any corners & I appreciate that (as a mom of 4 hungry kids) :) You made our Army Christmas party a huge success. Thank You!"
